Beta Release


This is  the official beta release of the game

With this update I've added animations for when you hold down the fire button, animations when you let go of the fire button, an all new soundtrack I made in LMMS that I think fits it better, more sound effects for everything including when the bullet bounces a raising pitch sound effect. I've also added a timer for each level though it doesn't save the lowest one yet, screen shake on shots and redblock collisions, and bug fixes for a bunch of things which I forgot most of because I didn't keep a change log(lesson learned) . and I've added two new blocks, those being the moving block and the purple block which I should be able to use to make some interesting levels.

With this beta release I would consider blastonier to be about 90% of the way done and by the time I make my next dev log I would have liked to add some polish, bug fixes, as many levels as I can think of, and release the game on itch.io, ios, android, and maybe steam.

As a reward for anyone who reads this post I'm going to end this with a book recommendation. 

My recommendation is for an interesting book I've read recently which is called "all tomorrows" by C.M. Kösemen. I guess I would call it a sci fi speculative evolution book and its about humans evolving and intergalactic war and speculative biology and I just thought it was a really unique story and an awesome source of inspiration and there's an audio version of it for free on youtube that's only like an hour and a half long. Out of all the creatures in the book I've settled on two as being tied for my favorites and that is the temptore because there like a mixture of human and ant and the colonials because of the horror aspect of their existence.
