Chamoisee-Canvasback(V-0.0.14)Backgrounds & Weapons






This week was pretty good I made progress on UI, art, weapons, and small bug fixes. While setting up my button code I actually solved a problem that I just could not figure out on my last project causing multiple buttons to highlight, and the solution was very simple just have to check what the last button was when selecting a new button. I'm also very happy with how the art is coming along I think some of the backgrounds I'm making look borderline amazing I was I could consistently make them look good but my skill seems to show itself on accident.
Almost all the basics I need are in I would still like to make the health bars look better and also make the buttons look better, but I very much have got to go through all the things I've added and tie them together and get them into a more final form. Unfortunately for progress sake I'm going on a road trip this week to Tennessee just for fun so I will probably only get one or two days of work in.
So hopefully next week goes good for everyone I probably wont get much done but it should be a fun week so whatever, see you next time.

-second weapon now has a name, psybladder
-reworking how state works for projectiles to hopefully keep them from becoming a mess, separated rendering, movement, and collision into there own things
Dev note - I want to add one more weapon and make it so when there both max level they combine then polish everything

-levels now work on first weapon also it got its name the Electrode Rifle every level just gives it another shot on attack
-can finally start working on weapons again

-hover, click, letgo, and leave button all seem to be working correctly
-ok I am turning hover over buttons off by using a second int that lags behind the id checker

-trying my best not to trap myself with this GUI code like on the last project
-button now changes color on hover

-need buttons and mouse for what I want to do with items
-got mouse curser and buttons rendering and almost in working state

-added more randomization to damage popups
-made a function to check if collected weapon is already owned if it is it levels up
-not sure if this is dumb but im moving stuff like attack timing and level onto item as opposed to player also weapons are just a type of item
-carfully changing how attacking works to implement weapons
-gave boss more knock back resistance
