Slowly getting back into grove my truck is still messed up but I just have to keep going, This week I made small progress each day I think the most important work was in adding an EXP bar and deciding that weapon upgrade decisions will be given on level up but they will also have the option to spend EXP like money to buy non weapon upgrades. This is something I have been trying to decide on for a while because if I made the player chose between everything on level up I think it would be to random, but if I made everything purchasable it would take away the fun of the random-ness. So I'm thinking this way the player has the choice of if they want to spend EXP now for items or save it up to level faster and get a weapon along with the choices I was already planning on having the player make with those. So I've added another layer of decision making basically that will hopefully make the game more fun.
For the week ahead I'm still keeping expectations low as long as I get one small thing done a day I will be happy with the week, hopefully life becomes less hectic and stressful so I can make more progress but whatever happens happens, have a good week!
