Chamoisee-Canvasback(V-0.0.02)Camera & Bugs




Nothing big going on still grinding its starting to feel like a real game I mostly worked on my first implementation of the camera this week along with attacking, money drops, and lots of bug fixes as always.
for the week ahead the plan is to clean up the code again, make everything I have feel better, then work on player upgrades, one or two more enemy's, and maybe ill add a few sound effects and health bars.

-Y collision working again not sure why my array won't take non const ints very annoying

-playing with how camera acts might cause motion sickness right now very wobbly
-made the camera follow the player more smoothly instead of being hard locked on
-having the camera follow the player has made movement seem a lot more sluggish

Dev notes- i'm thinking ill leave the tiles the same size but make the player and enemies smaller so there's more room to maneuver

-stopped player from sticking to the wall again
-random bug still happening looks like some file in my program is too big and visual studio doent like it
-made a visual to help debug rects player rang rect is way to big hand high
-improvements I made with player collision applied to enemies more efficient and less buggy
-player now attacks every enemy and they all drop money
-every enemy now kills the player on touch
-tweaked enemy code to prevent some from having 0 x movement

-enemy rendering has been made generic
-enemy y movement function made generic, also x movement now
-enemy code in simulation is no longer hard coded all I have to do is add more enemies to my array and they will work(it just works)
-separated all my player and enemy simulation code
-cleaning up code before moving forward also time to make enemy code more flexible

-stopped money money from spawning at already dead enemy
-money bobs around for a little then disappears
-dead enemy drops money now
-test enemy dies after and takes damage now
-need to clean everything soon
-made enemy hit stun go the opposite way of the player
-enemies now have X and Y velocity and friction
-made a class for money
